are WE
just wasting time
doom-scrolling
being overly
consumed
with chasing
the headlines
about a republic
NOW headed
for extinction
and despot/corporate
type rule
by some of the super-rich …..

or are ~
you and me
WE the people
lovers of DEMOCRACY
being proactive ~
have WE
begun to move
beyond acts
of resistance
but started to prepare
not so unlike
our founders
for the REBELLION
that would lead
to establishing
a real DEMOCRACY ~
once and for ALL

NO time for silence
or inaction from ignoring it all
by being self-absorbed
in the day-to-day stuff
it ain’t NO excuse ~
the republic appears
derailed from the track

what never really was
or what wasn’t
gonna really become
a democracy

time to speak-out
time for action
time to organize
time to build a COALITION
for a real DEMOCRACY

time for REVOLUTION

NOW that it seems
WE have this
defunct republic
in constitutional crisis
where those in charge
no matter if
believed or not
are becoming
some of the super-rich
by way of a despot/
corporate type rule
those who have
a complete disregard
for the rule of law
separation of powers
and due process …..
WE the people
who still want
a vote at the table
the right of choice
speech ~
liberty/freedom
equality ~ justice
and prosperity
must fight for
a better way
of DEMOCRACY ~
some may still struggle
with considering
the possibility
while others may only
whisper about it
out of fear of retribution
~ the time has arrived
for REVOLUTION
in whatever shape
or fashion
deemed essential

as the republic
slides down
into the dark pit
of despot/
corporate type rule
a reversal of fortune
seems eerily improbable ~
even if the tide
can be turned again
as once before
it will be short lived
the opposing forces
are set in stone
the common ground
has withered away
and the majority
the middle
apparently apathetic
focused on the day to day
with no energy left
for participation

in the land

who will not

just resistance

I wonder

for a life

the first breath

keep an eye
on the entire life
of a newborn …..

assure a life’s
continual well-being
or are the THEY
really pro-birthers
who force a woman
take away
her choice and rights
as to her
OWN BODY
and totally disregard
her life circumstances
at the time and thereafter
the birth of a life

about a life
especially
after being born …..

as time goes by …….
while the old codger
inch by inch
grows in me
I’ve become
more and more
a minimalist ~

a spiritual and conscious decision
as a SPIRITUAL WARRIOR ACTIVIST
to use the least amount …..
conserve the best I can
the dwindling resources
from an over-consuming
naturally
ever-expanding
HUMAN-KIND ~ experiencing life
on its temporary abode
spaceship earth

as time goes by …….

’cause why would
I wanna
if my intuition and mental prowess
is correct
take all that baggage
carry so much crap with me
when quickly boarding
due to drastically
disruptive earth change

the next temporary home
for humans
somewhere out there
among the stars that shine
