lovers of DEMOCRACY
are WE
just wasting time
doom-scrolling
being overly
consumed
with chasing
the headlines
about a republic
NOW headed
for extinction
and despot/corporate
type rule
by some of the super-rich …..
or are ~
you and me
WE the people
lovers of DEMOCRACY
being proactive ~
have WE
begun to move
beyond acts
of resistance
but started to prepare
not so unlike
our founders
for the REBELLION
that would lead
to establishing
a real DEMOCRACY ~
once and for ALL
