if there was no light
to brighten the darkness
make visible
what’s there to be seen
how empty the universe
would seem
and yet there are times
when all is pitch black
there is this peace
that’s so welcoming
to the weary soul
who needs a break
from the day to day
madness …. revealed
within the light of day
peace out world
