choose to remember

the experience

in the form of creation

out of the darkness
to be exposed
before all
no matter
how well dressed
under the clothes
of deceit
it is hidden
even if
under the guise
of purity
in the image of
the creative source
this spiritual aura
of righteousness
in the light of day
we will be exposed
left naked
before all
to render
everlasting judgement
for our deeds
with our integrity
left in question

what else do we have
but the perception
of our name
by others
who we are
through the annuls
of time…….

when it comes
to
our dearest
most cherished
friends
those we love
with all
our heart
there are times
we
feel helpless
about being able
to
hold them
comfort them
and assure them
that they will be
able
to
find
the strength
the courage
to
FACE
what’s
before them
day
by day
so they
will be able
to
keep going
on…… and on
the best they can
with the help
of the love
given them
by us
their friend

I stand naked
before you
with nothing to hide
through the acceptance
of who I am
I’ve shed like clothes
from the body
the quilt and shame
the burden
of me being me
so I can live freely
the best I can
within the shadow of
MY ABNORMALITIES NORMALITY
with the inhibitions
and the self-percieved
restrictions
it imposes on me…..

until you can do
the same
accept yourself
for who you are …..
I will fight for you ~
your freedom
from the prison
of your fears
filled with quilt
and shame
as I do for myself

’cause I have this dream
of you and me
on this walk
out in the world
with nothing to hide
completely naked
without fear
quilt or shame
free of our burden
where you and me
really create
the life
we want
for ourselves
