like soapsuds ……. water bubbles
float along in patterns
where symbolic interpretation
is left
to the observer’s
imagination
lured by the reflective
shallow water
clear as a mirror
and mesmerizing enough
to hold ~
~ the daydreamers’
attention
as if spellbound
where toil and trouble
are briefly forgotten
