it’s not that I don’t want
to be in love … feel giddy
all over inside
what fool
wouldn’t want that ~
I’ve felt that way before
yes …. I was in love
and yet
those I was in love with
were not in love with me ~
~ I’ve tried my best
in later years
to not fall in love
with someone
who is not in love with me
maybe …. oh maybe
I shouldn’t hope
for that kind of love
but somehow
I feel I deserve it ~
is that to much to ask
in a world filled
with people not loved
maybe so ……
…… I guess
there are those like me
I’m not that abnormal
I am not alone
the horizon tonight
is gorgeous
don’t feel sorry for me
