the rise of the majestic sun
across the horizon
how lucky for me to notice
its grand effect on the landscape
the way I perceive
my present reality …..
….. rays of light
almost heaven like
in appearance
with the treetops
perfectly complementing
the house
mostly
still covered
in the shadows ~
~ called home to someone
a place that gives
the sense of having roots
and to the hurried
passerby
such as myself ~
~ usually this marker
as to where
I’m at along the way…….
….. and yet
this morning
as time and space aligned
it held my attention
for more than
a brief moment
