on a cold Winter’s day
that gives off
a radiant light ….
so spectacularly
it warms
all our hearts
she is my BFF
BEST FRIEND FOREVER
I first felt her warmth
in the 6th grade
she ended up marrying
one of my dearest friends
and together had
a magnificent son
who is a son to me now
over the years
like the tides of the sea
due to circumstances
we have drifted in and out
of each others lives
in later years
as I quickly approach
my sixties
I have become
a social activist artist
and the spectacular her
her struggle
the good with the bad
has brought her forth
as a Mark Twain
Halley’s Comet type
to become one of
my most influential muses
