as exemplified
by the POTUS
of the time

the accepted norm
for the destructive antics
of DISCOMMUNICATION

I’m this artist
who likes to tell a story
of words with an image
captured in time
~    today with
Smartphone in hand
I begin my
photographic journey
along the Slave Trail
in Richmond
Virginia
a somber place
representative of
cruel and hard endings
for some
of us human beings …..
hung from
the once was
hillside gallows
for instance
a 24 year old blacksmith
named Gabriel
aroused with
the spiritual vision
that in the eyes
of the creator
all people
despite color of skin
are a part of
The Human-Kind
equal with
every kind of
man and woman
~    however
such a righteous revelation
to evolve The Human-Kind
beyond the defining of race
by skin color
was put to death
due to ignorance
and ill perceived
sanctimoniousness
‘cause some
of a certain skin color
blinded by the trade
of slavery
were not yet
so enlightened
about the benevolent ways
of God Almighty
for all    ~

but to the unmindful
passerby
~    driving down
Broad Street
over a bridge
this place appears to be
a green grass
park like lawn
next to some
railroad tracks
not long ago
a paved over parking lot
~    sleepily awaiting
a full resurrection
of remembrance ….   for
all those buried there
now a parcel of land
with a shrine
known as
the Negro Burial Ground
but more ethnically
named
the African Ancestral
Burial Ground   ~

like the blacksmith
named Gabriel
this experience
emerges forth
a spiritual vision
within me
this everyday
human being
no better than anyone else
where the color of …..
a person’s skin
shines on the beauty
and rich character
of their ethnicity
and yet
in the light of    ~
equality for all
skin color does not
determine Kind
‘cause the human
belongs to only one KIND
The Human-KIND
if not ….
then resurrect
the Richmond gallows
and hang me on the hillside
it would be an honor
to be buried
next to my fellow
human beings
especially
that blacksmith
named Gabriel

eternally a part of the shrine
to the Scars of Injustices

an American ethnicity ….
THEM in the know say
I ain’t got one
even though
America can be my nation
and based on genetics
the color of my skin
I have to check off
as my race …..   hmmmm ..…
whatever happened to
that identifier
THE HUMAN-KIND   ~
then we would not
have to decide
if the president
of the USA
is either
black or white
or something else
’cause it would then
be up to our acts and deeds
our service to humanity
that should define us
not the daily ROUTINES
we follow according to label
like zombies
without resistance
due to the
social conditioning ~ impregnating
our minds
from the drivel
of media and advertisement
all a part of The Red ……
White
and THE BULL

as far as that
ethnicity thing
I was born and raised
in America
I’m a little pinch
of this or that
all important ingredients
added to what makes up a stew
my grandfather called COMMUNITY

WE THE PEOPLE

experiencing
this mixed up blend
of diversity
interacting physically
and cognitively
as this
HUMAN COMMUNITY STEW
with an emergent
cultural flavor
of complexity
born of
WE THE PEOPLE
living and breathing
each day
within a portion
of shared land
while still being
a part of
THE HUMAN-KIND   ~
progressively learning
what freedom truly is
or is not
and too
what freedom has still
not fully become   ~
~    especially
for many
of our brothers and sisters
as to equality and rights
being a normal reality
of liberty
and that WE THE PEOPLE
represent
so much more than
ethnicity
culture
nation
and the daily ROUTINES
we follow according to label
like zombies
without resistance ….

WE THE PEOPLE
of planet earth
are
THE WHOLE HUMAN-KIND   ~

…..    white
black or african american
american indian or alaska native
asian
native hawaiian
or other pacific islander
excuse the lack of capitalization
while writing these labels

I mean no disrespect

just trying to express my opinion
I say whatever
’cause it don’t matter
to me
I see only one KIND
THE HUMAN-KIND
We the people
of planet earth
are ONE KIND
one species
HUMAN BEINGS
that’s it
~    coming in
all types of color
and flavor
whether the label
race
nationality
ethnicity
culture
belief
and economic status
I say whatever
again

I mean no disrespect

We the people
of planet earth
must come together
as one
stand united
more than ever
especially
after enduring
The Red … White
and The Bull ~ spewed
from the bowels
of Trump WORLD

someone was reported
to be lurking
in the shadows
and making noise
by a dumpster
down a poorly lit alleyway  ~
when the police arrive
the person
looks to have on
dark clothes
with a so-called
hoodie
and maybe carrying
something
in one hand  ~
a yell …..   goes out
from the police
‘put it down’
the person
suddenly turns toward
one of the officers
and is abruptly greeted
with the barrel of a gun  ~
~  startled
the person
in the hoodie
raises the object  …..

shots ring out
and lives are
forever
destroyed  …….

the news reports
police officer
shoots a mentally ill
homeless person
from a local shelter
who was holding
a moldy loaf of bread
taken from a dumpster

HOW  ~  HOW
does something
like this happen

could it be from
an isolated
social conditioning
that sows
an evasive
behavioral type
of mental weed
with the enabling
and perceptually
inhibitive roots
of predisposition
inhibition
and stereotype
where human profiling
misleadingly gets
the firm grounding
to provide an accurate
assessment …..
based on classifications
like race ~ skin color  ~
sex  ~  gender  ~  nationality
ethnicity  ~  culture  ~
belief or economic status
although …..   in reality
such labels produce
an effect knowing as
Pinocchio-ing
pure deception
which eventually  ~
becomes exposed
only to be in the end
a pack of lies
after coloring perception
as to what’s
really transpiring
at any given moment ….

for instance
if someone was reported

its all about
red ….  white
and blue
the colors of
Old Glory
a symbol for  ~
land of
the free  …..
where
We the people
are afforded the liberty
~   get to choose
who we want
to be
and what we
want to do
freedom
equality
and justice for ALL
is the ideology
spoken in America
since independence

supposedly

however
in reality
AMERICA today
in its EXTREMIST ATTIRE
is more like
The Red …..  White
and THE BULL

BULLSHIT
the land of
predestination
where
We the people
are separated
at birth
and given
different LABELS
then through
social/political
pressure
that flows
with the tainted blood
of inherent
predisposition
inhibition
and stereotype
within the grip
of its
devilish fervor
it prods us
to play
America’s favorite
game …..  called
THE RACE CARD
wherein  ~
and thus
we are
bamboozled
to think
we’re divinely
foreordained
to live out the hand
we are dealt ……
this unholy game
blinds
AMERICA
under the shadow
of Old Glory

BULLSHIT
the land of
predestination
and from
clearly perceiving
that ALL
We the people
of the planet earth
regardless of

skin color
sex
gender
nationality
ethnicity
culture
belief
or economic status
that WE

as ONE
are ALL
better off
and our chances
for survival
in the future
are greater
by realizing

progressing
intelligently
to become
a part of …..
