something new
might be revealed

its always been there
just not really noticed before

all eyes on you
I am nothing more than a backdrop
hardly  ~
if ever
noticed by you

can see
right through you
to gaze at me

rinsed by the rush of waters
fed from a persistent rain
dampens the mood of day
until the weather breaks
and the rays of sun
brighten the spirit again

the light clearing
the grayscale aftermath
a colorless
sediment filled sky
after the occurrence
of this apocalyptic event
where sensory perception
is sort of shell shocked
as reality
tries to awake again
return back to what
seems normal
the way it used to be
everything
in its right place
even that afternoon moon
