\nwith waves
\ndaily washing and reshaping
\nthe sand that makes up
\nthe beach
\nfilled with footprints\u00a0\u00a0 ~
\nfragments of seashells
\nand wind carrying
\nthe noise of the gull
\ngently mixed
\nwith the voice of people
\nbathed in sun\u00a0 \u00a0~
\nskin covered with lotion
\nand salt residue
\nfrom a swim to cool off<\/p>\n

on this particular day
\nand moment
\nI stand watching
\nmy muse
\nas she playfully moves
\naround the water’s edge \u00a0\u2026..
\n\u2026..\u00a0 I breathe in
\na sigh of relief
\n’cause
\nshe for now
\nis in a state of peace
\ndistracted briefly
\nfrom the ills of MS
\nthe villain that tries
\nlike a tyrant
\nto rob her spirit
\nof the joy for living
\nshe deserves
\nto have ……<\/p>\n

I say to myself
\nthat ain’t gonna happen
\nnot while I am alive
\nI will always be
\nclose enough
\nto keep her standing
\nwhile the feeling
\nof sand and water
\nsoothingly moves
\naround her feet
\nand between her toes
\nwith the\u00a0gift
\nof comfort
\nit gives
\nto\u00a0her mind
\nbody and soul\u00a0 ~
\nrest assured
\nmy dear sweet muse<\/p>\n
