This revised story poem from a previous book is dedicated to my muse, photography mentor, fellow artist and eternally dear friend, Regina Walker \u2026. I will always be there for her as she has for me. \u00a0Peace and Love !<\/p>\n

as the days of December
\ncome to their finish in 2015
\nI ponder the objectives
\nI had chose to finish
\nby the end of the year
\nlike running and finishing
\na marathon
\nas a performance artist
\nwho would create
\na body metaphor
\nthat included wearing
\nall dark clothes
\nwith a hood
\nwhich I did in Richmond VA
\nand finishing
\nthis story style poem
\nthe last of all written
\nfor each monthly edition
\nof the Year of the Poet II
\nalong with my other
\nesteemed
\nPoetry Posse
\nsocial activist artists
\npublished by Inner Child Press
\nbut some objectives
\nI did not finish
\nand will have to be
\ncarried over
\ninto the ones
\nfor next year
\n\u2019cause I still
\nhaven\u2019t finished getting
\nthe tattoos
\non my arms and legs
\nwith words that make up
\nthe title of my book series
\nNature ~ IQ:
\nLet\u2019s Survive, Not Die!
\nand the symbols for each book
\na baby ~ a butterfly
\nand an eagle
\n\u2026.. my mentor Regina Walker
\nstill has to write that article
\nabout my vision and mission
\nfor doing all the things I do\u2026.
\nmy book
\nPeace Out Poems
\nabout
\nMY
\nABNORMALITIES
\nNORMAILY
\nand about her and I
\n\u2026\u2026 finishing in June 2016
\na 16 mile walk
\na part of Team S.O.L.E.S
\nthe Out of the Darkness
\nOvernight walk in NYC
\nfor the AFSP
\nI will never finish being there
\nfor her as
\nshe has been for me
\n~ \u2018cause
\nin doing so ~
\nby staying proactive together
\nnot overly focused on our own
\ntrials and tribulations
\nbut more on the plight
\nof others
\nespecially
\nthose who suffer
\nfrom the emotional pains of
\ndepression
\nor being bipolar
\n\u2019cause of their
\nmental condition
\nmay consider
\nthe finish of life
\nthrough the act of
\nsuicide ~
\nin the act of helping others
\nto survive
\nwe hopefully
\nwill help ourselves
\nalong with
\neveryone else
\nfinish the walk of life
\nin joy
\nfulfillment
\nand most of all
\nwith the feelings
\nof love and peace<\/p>\n

however \u2026\u2026
\njust like
\nTHE HUMAN RACE
\nthe Poetry Posse
\nThe Year of the Poet
\nand the memory
\nof friendships made in life
\n\u2026\u2026 during the struggle
\nsome things don\u2019t need to finish<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a finisher that prays
\nnot all things should have a finish
\nhowever \u2026..
\nI\u2019m finished with
\nthis story style poem
\nabout finishing<\/p>\n
