at times \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 I fully feel
\nthe loneliness
\na sort of abandonment
\ndeep within my being
\npenetrating the depths
\nof my mortality \u00a0 ~
\nI stand as naked
\npale as a corpse
\nmentally subdued
\nas if to be
\ndead to all else
\nwhere no one
\nknows of \u00a0 ~
\nthis plight
\nmy downtrodden ways
\nof suffocating despair
\nneither at all
\nam I to find \u00a0 ~
\na single bit of concern
\nwithin the reach
\nof what comprises
\nthe bleak silhouette
\nshadowing \u00a0 ~
\nmy somber disposition
\n~ ~
\nas I wrestle \u00a0 ~
\nstruggle within the realm
\nknown to me as darkness
\nI find \u00a0 ~
\nmy right
\nto acceptance
\nfor being the way I am
\nwithout the stigma of guilt
\nupon my back \u00a0 ~
\nnor the need for pity
\nshown from those
\nwho have no capacity
\nfor real understanding
\nbeyond\u00a0\u00a0~
\nthe quick fix remedy
\nand the proverbial scold
\n\u2018get over it<\/em>\u2019
\nechoing
\nits empty council
\nproclaiming a time limit
\nas to the affairs
\nplaguing my morose
\ncondition
\nwhatever \u00a0 ~
\nI\u2019ve dwelt in the pit before
\nalone \u00a0 ~
\nand
\nI know my way about
\nits catacombs
\nfilled with an anguish
\ndesigned to be debilitating
\nso to prevent my escape
\nof which I\u2019ve done
\nmany \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 many times
\nto the chagrin of my keeper
\nand because of such
\nI have no doubt \u00a0 ~
\nonce again
\nI\u2019ll rise up
\nfrom this grave
\nsmothering me slowly
\nwith this \u00a0 ~
\nheavy melancholy
\nyes \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 I will
\nwith all I can muster
\nI\u2019ll fight my way back
\ninto the comfort of day
\nletting it saturate
\nmy mind
\nwith those light rays
\nof hope
\nlifting my weaken spirit
\ngiving it a renewed vision
\nto walk once more
\nas I recall \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 remember
\nupon the land \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 as the living<\/p>\n
