\nconflict kept under oath
\nwaiting for a reason to escalate \u00a0 ~
\nnegotiation and compromise
\nonly the bandage
\nfor those deep wounds
\nbloodied by hatred
\nnever quite stopping to seep\u00a0\u00a0~
\nwherefore peace
\nas the outcome of resolution
\nbecomes only some illusion
\nlike the mask to cover
\nthe underlying indifference \u00a0 ~
\nindifference that scourge
\nculturally embedded and fed
\nspreading its affliction
\nthroughout
\nand about
\nthose concerned
\nas if to become inherent \u00a0 ~
\nthe byproduct
\nemergent to conflict\u2019s sway<\/p>\n
