my words as a wannabe
\npoet\/writer
\ntell the tale of me
\nmy story along
\nthe journey or path
\ntraveled as a person
\nI\u2019m just one depiction
\nof the human-kind
\nnothing more
\nor nothing less
\nthan ordinary
\nhappy to be a part
\nof the everyday ilk
\nwhere it\u2019s up to me
\nto create my individuality
\ndoing so \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 by writing
\none word at a time
\nnot unlike the mason
\nplacing each brick
\nin its precise position
\nto fashion the wall
\naccording to the design
\nI craft my words
\nas if the artisan
\nadding my special style
\nor little twist,
\nas the mark \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 of my way
\nseemingly \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u00a0my muse
\ncomes forth
\nwhile experiencing
\nthe living of my life
\nas I interact
\nand communicate
\nwith those by choice
\nwho want to do so
\nthrough the commonality
\nshared by way of language
\nthis is apparently
\nillustrated when
\nI choose to share
\nmy style of words
\nwhether poetry or prose
\nwith another
\nand they so choose
\nto share
\ntheir style of words
\nwith me
\nwherein \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 we together
\nenrich each other
\nfrom within this process
\nvery similar to,
\nthe minerals in the soil
\nbeing dissolved
\ninto ground water
\nreplenished by the rains
\nof which feed the tree root
\nwith the needed nutrients
\nwe too \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 by sharing our words
\nfreely with one another
\nhelp sustain each other
\nwithin the cycle
\nof our personal growth \u00a0 \u00a0~
\nand yet \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 for some of us
\nat times,
\nit may seem
\nthis act of writing
\nand then sharing
\nis not so easy
\nas to finding the words
\nand the manner
\nwhich will fully express,
\ntranslate effectively
\nthe sense
\nthe meaning
\nof what we want to say
\nespecially so \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 all of us
\nbeholden to a predisposition
\ninflaming our inhibitions
\nand yet \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 for some of us
\nduring this struggle to write
\nthe bringing forth
\nthe emergence
\nof our thoughts into words
\nwe feel deep within
\nwe must go on
\nstay the course
\nremain true to ourselves
\nas if inherent within us
\nthis internal drive
\nor a spirit with a wanting
\na restless desire
\npossessing
\nthis untiring
\nwill
\nto
\nsay
\nwhat we want to say
\nnot someone else\u2019s way
\nor way of saying it
\nbut our way
\nour way of saying it
\nin spite of
\nwhat the critic,
\nthe horde,
\nor \u201cThe Man\u201d may think
\nwe still create and write
\nbeing willing
\nto take the flack,
\nignore the hecklers
\nby pressing on
\n\u2018cause we know
\nwithin our hearts
\nthat the act of words
\nformed in a special way
\nthat\u2019s proactively said
\nhas some merit,
\na little influence
\nadding to the mix
\nwithin the grand scheme
\ncomprising the flux
\nalong with those thoughts
\nof collective consciousness
\nwhich someday,
\nmay lend a helping hand
\nto what will sustain
\nand\u00a0preserve us all \u00a0 ~
\nit\u2019s for this reason,
\nfor living my purpose
\noverflowing with intent
\nas a wannabe
\npoet\/writer
\nI have this resolve
\nor
\nwill
\nto
\nsay
\nthrough
\nmy style of words
\nwhat I want to say
\nsaid \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 my way
\nhopefully \u00a0 ~
\nas motivated
\nfrom the depths
\nof my heart
\nmy being able to,
\nfreely write
\nand \u00a0then share
\nwill have an effect
\nupon others
\nto do the same
\nyes \u00a0 \u00a0~ \u00a0 \u00a0this is my one wish
\ncast upon that shooting star
\n~ \u00a0 \u00a0 way, way
\nup in the sky
\nthat herein,
\nthrough this
\nhumble act of words
\nwill somehow, someway
\ninitiate the cycle
\nand receive the blessing
\nof fulfillment \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 for which
\nits purpose calls forth<\/p>\n
\u201cI write and then share freely my words despite my inhibitions with the hope that others will write and then share freely their words with me; wherefore, creating a cyclical process of writing and sharing that will enrich the lives of all those who choose to write and then share their words freely with others.\u201d<\/p>\n
