our fallen people
\nbrothers and sisters
\nhusbands and wives
\nsons and daughters
\nnephews and nieces
\nuncles and aunts
\nour civil
\nand military servants
\nour heroes
\nand their families
\nloved ones
\nstricken with grief
\nfrom the losses suffered
\nthrough hate filled intent
\nthe blood drenched
\nact
\nof
\npremeditated
\nfirst
\ndegree murder
\nrained down
\nfrom the sky
\nor along the side
\nof a street
\nupon the unsuspecting
\nand distracted people
\nwho were nothing more
\nthan out and about
\ninnocently
\nbreathing
\nan every day life<\/p>\n

each year on 9\/11
\nand the anniversary
\nof the day
\nthat brought forth
\nthe cry
\n“Boston Strong<\/em>” \u00a0 ~
\nwe surely remember<\/p>\n

what happened on such days
\nas these
\nwas terrorism
\npure and simple
\nnot the act of war
\nor an \u201ceye for an eye\u201d
\nnor some God mandated
\nretaliation in kind
\n’cause of the act
\nof another against you<\/p>\n

~ \u00a0 \u00a0a clear cut distinction
\nmust be made \u00a0 \u00a0~<\/p>\n

and shall not be forgotten
\nwithin the annuls of time
\ndespite
\nthe noble
\nand righteous objective
\ncalling for peace
\nthe hoped for
\neradication of violence
\nthroughout
\nthe bloodstained earth
\ncaused by
\nthe evolutionary plight
\nof humanity
\nregardless\u00a0of
\nthe sanctified
\njustification
\nclaimed to be found
\nthe God given right
\ndeemed appropriate
\nso to enact a cruel
\nand uncaring vengeance
\nhatefully
\nand wrongfully fed
\nby an uncivilized intelligence
\nwho commit
\nterrorizing murder
\nby attempting to mesh
\nand blur
\nthe distinction
\nbetween terrorist acts
\nand war …….
\n….. \u00a0 war is not a fitting
\ndescriptive
\nbehavior
\nin defining
\nthe character traits
\nof terrorism
\nnor in this modern world
\nthe implied inference
\nto the act of battle
\n“The rules of fair play
\ndo not apply in love and war.<\/em>”<\/p>\n

may we learn
\nfrom our commemorations
\nespecially so
\nthrough the horrific acts
\nunleashed upon us
\nWe the people<\/em>
\nif we blur
\nthe lines of acts
\nsuch as the defined layers
\nseparating
\nand distinguishing
\nmurder
\nviolence
\nwar
\nand terrorism
\nespecially
\nwithin the context
\nof acts
\nperpetrated on the innocent
\nthose not directly responsible
\nto invoke
\nsuch premeditated
\nacts
\nof retaliation
\nby submerging them
\nwithin the complexity
\nof a world
\nstill far from peaceful
\nto escalate
\nthe urgency
\nof our cause …..
\n……. then due to
\nour haste and impatience
\nfor wanting to bring
\nabout a world
\nless violent
\nand more peaceful
\nwe in the end
\nmay not only
\ninhibit the cause<\/em>
\nbut also
\nthe intelligent progression
\nof We the people<\/em>
\nthroughout the world
\nwho have chosen
\nto believe in and support
\nthe cooperative
\nprocess of civilization
\nthe ideal\u00a0to live
\nand get along
\nwith one another
\nthrough the rules
\nof fair play
\nand how these rules apply
\nclearly and distinctly
\nwith acts of terrorism
\nwar
\nviolence
\nmurder
\nand even
\nthe acts of love
\nand peace ….

\nnever fall asleep again
\nwhile doing every day things
\nwithin a world
\nnot yet at peace
\nand still teeming
\nwith the act of terrorism
\nan act not a part of
\nthe more civilized
