I refuse to play victim
\nonly to have its disposition
\nperpetuate the ill affect
\nlaced with the toxic
\ndespicability of the acts
\nforced upon me \u00a0 ~
\nI choose to do this
\nregardless \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 of its
\nperceived atrocity
\nand my lack of any choice
\nor power to hinder
\nsuch a heartless
\norchestration of malice
\nyes \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 I have chosen
\nas I grew into adulthood
\nwhile battling with the trials
\nfrom inhibition to spit
\nrather \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 self-determinedly
\nand self-defiantly into
\nthe self-destructive eye
\nof victim-hood \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 so doing
\nwith the hope and prayer
\nto cast forever it useless
\nas well as unproductive
\ndemeanor into that faceless
\nvat \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 habitually
\noverflowing
\nwith the unrecyclable
\nwaste \u00a0 ~
\nproduct of the victimizer
\nunlike my siblings \u00a0 ~
\nwho have chosen to swim
\nwithin the cesspool of victim
\nI have through much struggle
\nwalked beyond the shadow
\nof its impediment
\nunshackled \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 liberated
\nhumanly as possible \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 living
\na full life the best I can<\/p>\n
