or inaction from ignoring it all
by being self-absorbed
in the day-to-day stuff
it ain’t NO excuse ~
the republic appears
derailed from the track
that leads to DEMOCRACY
silence and inaction
won’t help hold on to …..
what never really was
or what wasn’t
gonna really become
a democracy

time to speak-out
time for action
time to organize
time to build a COALITION
for a real DEMOCRACY
