as the last few years

\ntears flowed
\nregularly
\ndown the cheeks
\nof my face
\nacross
\nmy quivering lips
\nwhile I sobbed
\nmyself to sleep
\nin the watery
\nsalty pool
\nof my grief
\n’cause loved ones
\nfamily and friends
\nhave passed away
\nsome peacefully
\nas symbolized
\nby the dove
\nand others
\nsuddenly \u00a0~
\nviolently
\nas the guillotine
\nof old portrayed \u00a0~ \u00a0taken
\nby the horrors
\nthat only
\na vile human
\nwho lacks morality
\ncould perpetrate ……<\/p>\n
…. \u00a0 \u00a0what is the lesson in death
\nother than being dead
\nno longer alive \u00a0 ~<\/p>\n
I have learned
\nto better appreciate
\nwith each passing
\nthe loss of a life
\nby whatever means
\nto remember
\ncelebrate
\nand cherish
\nthe life lived
\nas this great treasure
\nto be preserved
\nand that
\nblack-robed skeleton
\nwith the scythe
\nthe grim reaper
\nI give
\nnot much time
\nor value to at all<\/p>\n
