Two of Keith’s ongoing creations of note are the book series Nature ~ IQ: Let’s Survive, Not Die ! and the Slavery in America Image with Words Collection – Virginia Edition. Keith will be releasing soon his 5th book soon.
Keith publishes two other companion sites at NatureIQ.com & The Hamilton Gallery ~ Online.com where he is a fervent promoter of other social activist artists.
~Keith Alan Hamilton~ firmly believes, “The true act of creating art is to use it to create change for the everlasting benefit of all humanity.”
Driven by that belief, Keith’s mission as a spiritual warrior is brought forth in his book series Nature ~ IQ: Let’s Survive, Not Die! A spiritual vision fueled by unconditional love to help We the people of planet earth see the value of proactively working together to improve the overall well-being of ALL HUMANITY. So the people of THE HUMAN-KIND become more willing and able to help themselves and then do the same for others.
Personally to help exemplify Keith’s mission, a portion of the proceeds from his book series and his Art Store are donated to help support various social activist causes and promising research into the cause, treatment, and management of them; such as MS, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Cancer, Hydrocephalus and mental conditions (Bipolar, Depression, Autism, etc.).
As previously mentioned, Keith often participates in charitable walks/runs for these causes and hopefully sometime in the near future will be launching his organization NatureIQ.org to further this type of support. The proactive human spirit of love, concern and support reflected in these charitable events toward fellow human beings embodies the vision and mission of not only Keith’s Nature ~ IQ book series, but his soon to be launched NatureIQ.org as well. Keith expresses this poetically below.
Nature ~ IQ .ORG – brought forth in the same spirit as the book series Nature ~ IQ: Let’s Survive, Not Die !
We the people
as ONE RACE
must set aside
and focus on seeing
helping each other
better help ourselves
the overall well-being
by learning together
ways to increase
our collective IQ
so to speak
our global understanding
about how Nature
and the earth
no matter what type
of drastically disruptive
earth change may befall us
for the sole purpose
the future survival
of THE HUMAN RACE
regardless of skin color
or economic status
As of June 4, 2016, Keith as an author has published four books through Inner Child Press. Back in September 2015, Keith published in print and Kindle, Peace Out Poems for Jason: the way things seem to be . . . whatever! dedicated to his son Jason. Keith’s hero for his struggle to live each day the best he can while dealing with the effects resultant from being born hydrocephalic.
Jason is the true inspiration behind Keith’s book series Nature ~ IQ: Let’s Survive, Not Die ! Now in print and Kindle the first book in the series Nature ~ IQ: Let’s Survive, Not Die! Poems, Sayings and more….. used to address the most pressing issues on earth ~ facing humankind! A poetic/prose essay on the human potential to proactively adapt and then survive any type of drastically disruptive earth change to occur in the future.
Keith is currently writing the second book in the series Nature ~ IQ: Let’s Survive, Not Die! – Adaptive Transitioning. The book will be published in sometime in 2018.
As a performance artist Keith has shuffled jogged two marathons so far. In November 2015 the Anthem Richmond Marathon and in March of 2016 Yuengling Shamrock Marathon along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront (see press releases: Performance Artist Shuffle-Jogged the Virginia Marathon for THE HUMAN RACE & Performance Artist will again Shuffle-Jog a Virginia Marathon for THE HUMAN RACE).
While participating in both of these marathons, Keith used performance art to create a body metaphor (wearing dark clothes with a hood) as a way to promote his Slavery in America Image with Words Collection – Virginia Edition.
******** Previously exhibited in the Q Gallery at Art Works in Richmond, VA.. Soon to be shown in Keith’s personal gallery in Massachusetts
In Virginia Beach Keith also released his book – Peace Out Poems for World Peace, Healing & THE HUMAN RACE: A spiritual pilgrimage of Image with Word artistically expressed from the lived experience of the PRO-HUMAN Social Activist Mystic Performance Artist ~Keith Alan Hamilton~ – about World Peace, Healing and the decolorization of ALL THE HUMAN RACE. We the people of earth as ONE RACE regardless of skin color, sex, gender, nationality, ethnicity, culture, or belief – all together, collectively THE HUMAN-KIND. PEACE OUT !
In May and June of 2016 as a social activist performance artist, Keith did two 16 mile Out of the Darkness Overnight walks for “the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, funding research, advocacy, survivor support, education, and awareness programs – both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide” as a part of Team S.O.L.E.S (see press release: After Book Release, Social Activist Performance Artist to do 2 AFSP Out of the Darkness Walks).
The first was the San Francisco walk with fellow social activist/author Madeline Tasky Sharples and the second was the New York Walk with fellow social activist artist/author Regina A Walker (Regina was not able to do the walk). At the NYC walk Keith released his 4th book Peace Out Poems about My Abnormalities Normality: The ups and downs of a super charged mind – depression and notions of life’s end, socially embedded predispositions and inhibitions brought back to light out of the darkness. To create dialogue and nurture a cooperative, PRO-HUMAN spirit that emerges a healing for the continuance of a more PROACTIVE life. Artistically expressed through Images with Words by social activist, mystic, performance artist ~Keith Alan Hamilton~ Dedicated to Madeline Sharples, her son Paul, Regina Walker, her sister Dolores, Team S.O.L.E.S – those they remember, and the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walks (see press release: Book Release: Social Activist Performance Artist to do AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk NYC).
Later on in the year 2016 (October), Keith as a social activist performance artist was a part of an exhibit in Virginia titled: “Entangled” (copyright HRuiz). This exhibit was curated by Keith’s dear friend, mentor and fellow social activist artist Helene Ruiz the founder of The Urban Individualists, an international, multi-media, multi-cultural artists collective. Helene describes the event as follows:
ART AND THE CREATIVE PROCESS IS OFTEN A SOLITARY ENDEAVOR. IN THIS GROUP SHOW, THE CREATIVE MUSE IS SPARKED BY A COLLABORATION BETWEEN A VISUAL ARTIST AND A WRITER. EACH ARTIST WILL PRESENT A WORK TO THEIR PARTNER TO ACT AS MUSE FOR THEIR PARTNER’S RESPONSE. EACH COLLABORATION WILL SPARK FOUR WORKS, TWO WRITTEN AND TWO VISUAL.
Keith collaborated with visual artist Sarmistha Talukdar. Keith’s friend, social activist word spoken artist, mentor and publisher William S. Peters, Sr. hosted the live poetry portion of the event. Also Keith’s long time friend and fellow social activist artist Regina Walker participated in the exhibit.
Keith is a past member of the Poetry Posse which contributes monthly editions to The Year of the Poet published by Inner Child Press. “Its objective is to bring the Poetry Community together with the various Cross Demographic representations found in Gender, Religion, Geography, Culture and Ethnicity.” Keith also as a social activist artist is a contributor and supporter of the World Healing, World Peace Poetry Anthology initiative by Inner Child Press.

After doing an Images & Words flip-book collaboration with NYC photographer/writer Regina Walker called Stuyvesant Town ~ NYC, Keith picked up the camera again. This time in the form of Smartphone Photography as found in his Smartphone Photography Portfolio.
Keith has recently said about his photography, “I’m firstly an artist with a Smartphone camera trying to create art by the way I capture images at a particular moment in time.”
Keith’s experience as an artist, as manifested through his writing (prose/poems) and photography has led to his newest expression of creativity combining images with words as found in his Image with Words Portfolio.
Keith further says about this kind of creative experience, “As an artist, my Image with Words creations, my word imagery seems to undergo this heighten process of poetic emergence.”
Keith has been developing his spiritually philosophical style of writing (poetry, prose, sayings, etc.) and photography for many years. The artistry of his words and images are rooted within the nurturing arms of his Polish/German mother (his first muse). Keith says his mother’s willpower and loving temperament is the spirit flowing in his words and images. They are also deeply influenced with the character of his Scot grandfather (his second muse), who was a master storyteller and could hold his audience spellbound for hours on end. Keith’s words and images not only reveal the cultural flavor representative of his heritage but also the area in the USA where he was born. He grew up in a small place called Freeland, Michigan. This is where one of Keith’s most influential muses RLF grew up as well. Many fellow artists and friends have inspired Keith’s artistic creations, and have become muses, like his photography mentor RAW, his editor and fellow writer, MTS and musician BM. Keith’s children and grandchildren are continually powerful muses on the kind of art he creates; especially his son Jason, as mentioned previously.
If Keith was asked to describe his spiritually philosophical style, he would say it embodies the everyday spirit of a Norman Rockwell illustration, a sort of raw Mark Twain individuality and the perfectionist mannerism captured in an Ansel Adams photo. Keith hopes his everyday style, that unique spiritual flavor tasted within the emergence of his words and images, will appeal to a broad spectrum of people around the world.
Keith as a mystic and social activist uses his art spiritually and philosophically to inspire and create change. He firmly believes all of his site’s are freely accessible and affordable online living documents (works of art in progress). Works of art where people around the world on the internet can view the evolving creative process of his artwork, as well as other artists (including Poets, Writers, Photographers, Musicians, etc.) he has featured (extending to the PWPMA ~ Networking Group on Facebook) is of benefit to them. Why? He truly believes that creativity breeds creativity. The more creativity that is shared with others, where people observe and experience the entire creative process from start to finish, will be a real source of encouragement and motivation for humanity. When the whole spectrum of people from young to the old can freely observe the full struggle to bring forth works of art in whatever form, they in turn will be inspired to be more creative themselves. Then those inspired in such a way will bring forth works of art in word and image to be shared with others. Eventually this creative process will collectively provide positive change to the overall well-being of humanity (like Keith’s muses have inspired him).
Keith’s inspiration to offer the social activist artist (Poets, Writers, Photographers, Musicians, Painters, etc.) the opportunity to be featured at The Hamilton Gallery ~ Online.com helps to put into motion the vision brought forth in his online book series Nature ~ IQ: Let’s Survive, Not Die ! Over a freely accessible and affordable platform like the Internet, a larger audience of people can experience, view and read artwork created in the spirit of social activism. Generally speaking, an artist can get published and/or exhibited at a relatively moderate cost today; however, many artists, especially the social activist are not promoted and distributed to the point of where their creations can be viewed and/or read by others on a large scale. It is Keith’s belief that many of these artists like himself are not as concerned with getting rich or being famous, but rather if their artwork has a contributory and beneficial effect on humanity.
In Keith’s opinion this brings to light the real mission behind the creative acts of a social activist artist…… the ultimate purpose – “The true act of creating art is to use it to create change for the everlasting benefit of all humanity.”
Nothing illustrates this process better then the creativity inspired by Keith’s two most influential muses, his son Jason and RLF. Both for their heroic day to day struggle with the effects of their conditions. The example of their life experiences and courage has motivated Keith to create the following:
